CadenceNaturopathic Practice

How care works

A consultation, described honestly enough that you can decide against it.

Stage one

A few minutes

The request

A short written note describing what you would like help with. Only a name, a way to reply and a sentence or two are needed. Detailed medical history is never collected through this website.

Stage 1 of 4
Stage two

Longer than a standard appointment

The first consultation

A structured history of an ordinary week: what you eat and when, how you sleep, how you move, what your work and caring responsibilities demand, and what medical care is already in place. Nothing is examined, tested or diagnosed.

Stage 2 of 4
Stage three

After the visit

The written summary

Two or three changes at a time, in writing, with the reasoning attached, covering what is well supported, what is reasonable but uncertain, and what is simply worth trying to see how it fits. You can take the summary to your doctor.

Stage 3 of 4
Stage four

By arrangement

Review

A follow-up conversation about what held and what did not. Plans that are not working are dropped rather than doubled. Care ends when there is nothing useful left to add.

Stage 4 of 4

Still deciding whether this is the right kind of help?

The scope and safety page sets out exactly what is and is not within this practice, including when to see a doctor instead.
